Soteria Church

Growth Groups complement Sunday worship at Soteria, giving you a place to deepen your love for God and grow in faith alongside fellow believers. Meeting weekly during fall, winter, and spring, groups gather around God’s Word, build authentic relationships, and disciple one another.

Soteria Kids helps children grow deep roots in God’s Word so they stand firm in their faith. Through age-specific Sunday School (ages 2–5th grade) and Wednesday Kids4Truth Clubs, kids learn the story of the Bible, sound doctrine, and a lifelong love for Jesus in a fun, engaging environment.

Soteria Students offers students in 6th–12th grade weekly opportunities to learn about Christ, grow in their faith, and serve others. With Sunday classes, Wednesday night gatherings of games, worship, and small groups, plus camps and summer trips, students are equipped to live for Christ.

Soteria’s Men’s Ministry disciples men to learn, grow, and serve in their families, church, and work. Rooted in the call to love God and neighbor, men encourage, build up, and walk alongside one another in community. Connect through events and the Men of Soteria group.

Soteria’s Women’s Ministry disciples women to better know and love Christ. Grow in your faith and build meaningful relationships with other women through worship, Bible studies, small groups, and events. We’re not meant to live out our faith alone—come walk together and encourage one another.

Discipleship is at the heart of Soteria’s mission to make more and better disciples. Through Growth Groups, Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, and weekly gatherings, you’ll grow in your love for God and His Word alongside others, being cared for in community and encouraged to live out Scripture.

Soteria partners with missionaries and organizations spreading the gospel locally and around the world. Engage in short-term mission trips, explore vocational missions, or support our partners through prayer and giving. Whether you go or send, we’ll help you get connected to mission opportunities.

Soteria offers free biblical counseling to help you face life’s challenges in a way that honors Jesus. Trained counselors apply Scripture to address marriage, parenting, anxiety, depression, and more—guiding you toward hope, change, and lasting peace. Apply to schedule your first appointment.

Soteria is committed to sharing the hope of the gospel locally and beyond. Through local missions across Des Moines and central Iowa—partnering with ministries like Alpha Women’s Center, Love INC, and Foster Adopt Ministry—we serve our community and help make disciples close to home.
